I Pray That I Be Diligent...

 I found a scripture, Lord, today,

I see it's like an old time tale

The Tortoise and The Hare-

That tale!

Diligent to plentiful,

Hasty leads to want!

Wisdom's speaking to my heart,

Be diligent - no want!

Keep focused, child, 

Keep going!

Be diligent for sure,

For hasty gets off course 

Forgetting what is pure!

Let go of hopping all about...

Hasty leads to want

But diligent-

No want!!!

I pray Lord,

 That I will take heed...

Go in the way of diligent

Where plenty does abound

Not in the way of hasty

Where want is where I'm found!

I know that I will listen

For Wisdom's in my heart

I'm diligent to walk with You

I listen in my heart!!!
