Trusting Love

Some say, Lord, they can not trust,

Some say - it is not wise,

But You say we're to trust in You,

You call that child, wise!

Today I am that child,

For I am trusting You!

I ever seek Your answers,

I depend on You!

Once I was untrusting

Because I did not know -

I did not know Your love for me,

Oh, Lord, I did not know!

Then one day I called to You -

I remember my despair,

Crying, crying, calling out,

Lord, oh, don't You care?

You wooed me to Your Word,

You opened my heart's ears,

You showed me how You love me so

And that I had so much to know!

Now, I walk and talk with You,

By faith I've learned to live!

I still don't trust in people much

But if I see You in them,

I leap, Lord, to befriend them!!!
