The hummingbird likes something sweet,

Something so nutritious -

Your promise is Your Word is sweet,

Christ made it so delicious!

Once I was afraid to read

For fear I'd not take heed -

I'd rather not see what to do,

Than know I disappoint You!

But, oh, the joy to understand -

That grace, through faith, does please You!

Jesus Christ my every hope,

Holy Spirit power -

Now I listen, now I read, 

Your Word I do devour!!!

Beloved child,

In Christ no fear,

Such joy that you come near!

The righteousness that set you free,

Indeed a gift from Me!

Now ever you enjoy Love

And in My Word I find you,

In truth, no lies to bind you!!!
