I wanted to pass on a story I heard years ago- A 102 year old man was being interviewed ( I think he was even older than that ) they asked him what he wanted to tell the world. He said that when he was 35 an idea came to his mind but he said he was too old to start something like that now! Then at 45 again it came to him to do something but now he was for sure too old to begin, it came again in his 50's and he just knew he was too old to begin something like that... at 60, 70, 80 he felt the desire come to do That Thing he had thought of at age 35. He wanted to tell the world to never let age stop you! At mid 50's he was still very young for had he known he would live to be 100 something he would have not feared! He told the interviewer that he hoped he could help at least one other person to do That Thing in their heart and not let age ever stop them! I am one of those people that God has used his testimony for! I still see the pain in his eyes and the plea in his heart ... "Don't let age stop you!" If God puts it in your heart- go- for He orders your goings!!! See God knew that the man was going to live plenty long enough to fulfill his destiny but the man didn't and he didn't trust that desire he had as God given! I love this story and God has used it to lead me on sooo many times! Hey! We've only just begun!!! I love you all sooo very much! Happy Young Day!!! xo

Oh I love this! So beautiful! I was watching Pastor Prince today and he was preaching that we should focus on our Fathers love for us, not so much on our love for him. I want that to be my focus "resolution" this year.....to truly seek to know Gods love for me! I know Mommy that seems like so long ago stuff for you but my I know where I need to start. I love you Mommy!
ReplyDeleteAmen, Lishy Bear! When I first heard (1 John 4:19 We love Him, because He first loved us.) I thought - Oh, I want to love God sooo much and I focused on my love for Him but soon realized the power in His love for me!!! So yes! First focus on His love for us and then our love for Him will flow and flow and flow! That's simple!!! Good girl honey! Ephesians 3:14-19 and John 17:23!!! Imagine how much Father loves Jesus- He loves you and me the SAME!!! Like an only child! Each of us!!! Sooo personal! Love 4ever, mommy xo
