Feelings Versus What Is True ...

Good morning, from the home of
Lezza Kuzzin Poetry ...

Oh, Father!
If I am so "On top of this"
Why do I swish my tail?
I feel like one big, grouchy cat,
Acting all
"On top of that!"
And like his tail swishing
I show forth -
I'm only wishing!!!

My dear, beloved child,
In Jesus, you're "On top of this!"
Soar high above what this world brings,
Sing Victory in Jesus,
The song, My child sings!!!

  1. I looked up reasons why a cat swishes it's tail ...
    Look what I found!
***The tail waving quietly from side to side means contentment. If the cat is sitting quietly with his tail swishing back and forth, he's concentrating intently on something. Vigorous swishing back and forth is a sure sign of anger or signaling annoyance ... good sign that the cat is really upset. Tail wagging somewhere in between heavy duty and half-hearted can mean that he is indecisive.
Wow! Have you ever been so bothered by something deep down inside and you give it to the Lord and then act like you're on top of it! Only to have the Lord show you that you are just acting ... kinda like Kitty when he swishes his tail ... angry, annoyed, upset, indecisive ... What a description! And what a perfect picture Audrey!! Thank you so very, very much! I'm not bothered, today, I'm sweetly singing "Victory In Jesus!" Like all God's children should!!! I'll remember Kitty's tail and this tender lesson of Wisdom!!!
I love you all so very, very much! xo

  2. Victory In Jesus ...

    I HEARD AN OLD,
    OLD STORY
    HOW A SAVIOUR CAME
    FROM GLORY
    HOW HE GAVE HIS LIFE
    ON CALVARY
    TO SAVE SOMEONE LIKE ME

    I HEARD ABOUT
    HIS GROANING,
    OF HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD'S
    ATONING
    THEN I REPENTED
    OF MY SIN
    AND WON THE VICTORY

    OH, VICTORY IN JESUS,
    MY SAVIOUR FOREVER
    HE SOUGHT ME
    AND HE BOUGHT ME
    WITH HIS REDEEMING BLOOD

    HE LOVED ME
    ERE I KNEW HIM
    AND ALL MY LOVE
    IS DUE HIM
    HE PLUNGED ME TO VICTORY
    BENEATH THE
    CLEANSING BLOOD

    I HEARD ABOUT HIS
    HEALING,
    OF HIS CLEANSING POW'R
    REVEALING
    HOW HE MADE THE LAME
    TO WALK AGAIN
    AND CAUSED THE
    BLIND TO SEE

    AND THEN I CRIED
    "DEAR JESUS,
    COME AND HEAL
    MY BROKEN SPIRIT"
    AND SOMEHOW JESUS
    CAME AND BROUGHT
    TO ME THE VICTORY

    OH, VICTORY IN JESUS,
    MY SAVIOUR FOREVER

  7. Mrs. E.M. Bartlett, 1885-1941, wrote the words and the music.

Oh, the tail swishing paired with the "I've got this" look in the eyes. I know it well! I think that's why I love my Max. I always know what mood he is in. Since I don't have a tail, what feature gives me away??? :)

    1. Thank you so much for letting us all know the author! I should have known you'd know it! Music is your wonderful thing ... one of your many!
My tail, if I had one, would be waving quietly side to side today ... in much contentment!
:) Hope yours would be too!

  8. That is definitely my "go to" hymn when I'm feeling anything but victorious! I didn't know who wrote it, sorry! I should since I sing it all the time! :) Love that poem too! I know I certainly have my ways of swishing my "tail" when I'm anxious or angry.
